Bea and I just got an email from our niece in Oñati. I thought you all might be interested in it, here is a quick translation:

Hi Bea,

I'm sending you a an extract from the Lonely Planet Guide To Spain, 2009 editon, that makes Oñati look quite bad. The following text has attracted no fewer than 12 couples that have been in the Tourism Office asking about the "ETA murals". Everyone is very angry about this, starting with the mayor, who has already been in contact with them and has asked them to rectify it. 

One of the authors of the guide says that it was written by several people, and that she wrote that Oñati was the Basque Toledo, etc., etc. She doesn't know why they changed the text and how it turned out like this. 

It is a shame that Oñati should be known for this, with with all the other things it has, but it is even more upsetting that so many people want to come and see Oñati for this reason.
