I moved to Chicago in '83 to become an actor. I started a theater called the Improv Institute and later joined The Second City where I performed for a couple of years.
In the mean time I married my Oñatiarra girl friend and started a family in Chicago. Elena, my wife, and I have two niños; Natalie and Andrew.
Tired of acting, touring, late night performances and not spending enough time with my children, I got a real estate license and haven't looked back.
They're in that infamous generation from those fateful years in Oñati; about the same age as Shiela Fritz'es children, and Mike Brunelle's children, and so on. The list is long.

Hola
I'm wondering if your daughter feels better than I do today. You would have loved seeing her yesterday. We ran into her and Daynetxo at the cider tasting and had a few laughs with them. Then my son Jon showed up with his 17 friends and he was talking to us and they went away with a VERY good impression of Natalie. Hopefully she'll come back and visit. It's always a pleasure to see Daynetxo, as he told us yesterday. atr least he gets to see us Debbie and me) once a year tasting cider. Great kids! It's fun to see how they have grown up and how well they get along. I don't know when Jon saw Natalie the last time, but they hit it off well yesterday. Missed Dayne and Bea-they didn't go out. Lastima. Anyway, you and Elena have done a great job, she's a lovely girl.
Now, I'm going to bed. Thank goodness fiestas end tomorrow!
LOve ya,
Sheila
Hola Tomas
Okay, I'm a bit slow! I'm still learning how to use computers! How the heck are you? Actually, I've seen Bea and Dayne and they filled me in on the latest. I'm hoping to see Natalie this weekend in fiestas. I hope she can meet my kids. Wouldn't that be fun! When are you coming over? It's been a while.
Hi Tom, the family is great, both kids long grown and gone. Lisa has been traveling around the world and has just landed in Hawaii. Son Steven lives about an hour away from us with his little family. I know your daughter will have a fabulous time! Makes you want to do it all over again doesn't it?
As Mike Brunelle told me, you always look younger if you have your picture taken around old buildings (the picture on the left was taken in the old part of Barcelona in October 2008) . Also, it is always good to avoid close ups and sunglasses help. Finally, on a variation of the W.C. Fields line, have your photograph taken with cute dogs or young children because people look at them instead of you. But even using W.C. Fields as a reference point is probably a sign of certain age.
Sorry I missed you when you were in Boise. I'm sure I would have enjoyed an injection of your erudite humor. Because of my job in Human Resources I have an unlisted home number because interesting people like to call me and share their personal thoughts about me, my family, and even my mother. If you want to connect with me when you are in Boise you can call me at my work number at Hewlett-Packard 208 396-3371.
Mr Hanigan, great to hear from you. All the trips to Euskadi with no calls are forgiven! Just don't do it again. Pls note my email jamie.tienda.spain@gmail.com
Get some decent photos up OK! Give me your email and I will write - promise
