With A Little Help From Our Friends

There are thousands of social sites like this one on the Ning site (browse some of them by starting at www.ning.com), and probably many thousands more all over the Internet. Each one is different, each has a "personality" reflecting the interests and activities of its members.

One thing we are able to do on this site is collaborate. We are few members still, but enough to work together on a project or two! Let's start off with an easy one.

First, join the group for the year that you were at San Lorenzo, in the GROUPS window in the left column on the Main Page.

Second, help make a complete list of every student, teacher, etc., that was there that year. I made a list in Year One: 1974, and the names of those who are now members of SLT are in bold. I know there is at least one name, an older woman named Frances that went home sometime before Christmas. She was in the first room on the left entering the second floor hallway, across from Gayle Carlson (now Bilbao) and next to Carmen Eiguren and Teresa Goicoechea.

I think the Forums are the best way to collaborate. We each can use a blog based in our own My Page, and we can write comments on each other's pages, and send private e-mail messages to a member on their My Page as well. But unless someone discovers something better, the Forums seem best for group use.

I am not a web wizard, rather more like an old geezer, so feel free to share any advice of discoveries when it comes to the use of this site.
