I think you two had to go back later, because Blackburn sent me a postcard with a copy of his passport photo. I think you were killing time waiting for your passports. You probably had lunch at the chinese restaurant and cafe and copas somewhere near the American Consulate. Its gone now, I wonder where they sent the files they had on us?

I remember Blackburn and I had to go to BIlbao as well to renew our expired passports. Our problem was we kept staying out so late in Donosti (Hollywood, Drugstore, etc) and sleeping in so late we could never makle it before the U.S. consulate closed. We made at some point. I wonder of this was the trip.

There has to be some song to accompany this shot! "Reach Out in the Darkness?" Or this photo might be the inspiration an award-winning screenplay.
